My first day as a real person...
Today marked the first day of full-time/career/real job, but sadly it seemed just like every other day. I did somehow take some satisfaction that today is also the day of the President's Address, often seen as the 'start' of the school year for many students...it was somehow very fitting. I've already been saddled with enough work to last me through Christmas, and it looks like this 'leave at 4:30' routine that I had during the summer isn't going to be panning out anymore. Now that I'll be paid a salary instead of hourly wages, I'll have to rely on my workload more than the clock to dictate my departure each night. < pause > Terra just called from Scotland! Luckily no one was around to hear our 20 minute conversation... < /pause > So that's the story from the real world... Apartment A is almost finalized, and will then drop the 'A' to be called 'the Apartment'. Packing is going ridiculously poorly, in large part due to the CSI marathon on Spike TV yesterday. Back to work I go... Liberated at 1:38 p.m. | |
